The PRO company paid a milestone royalty payout of \u00a31.02 billion to artists in performing rights royalties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is a milestone in payouts that is especially significant next to to PRS for Music&#8217;s goals. The PRO aimed to achieve \u00a31 billion in royalties paid out to artists for the year of 2026. They have now surpassed that goal 2 years early. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Music Royalty Types Explained\" width=\"720\" height=\"405\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/my0lYYYl_d0?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>They reveal that it took over 100 years for PRS to reach annual collections and distributions of \u00a3500 million. They have now doubled that figure in less than a decade from reaching half a billion. PRS claim their growth &#8220;has largely been achieved through a renewed commercial mindset and investment in data and technology infrastructure&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The \u00a31,02 billion paid to rightsholders in performance royalties is up 8.1% on 2023. PRS for Music also increased their overall revenues by 6.1% to \u00a31.15 billion.
