Casting is quickly becoming the new auxiliary cord, it’s a simple way to stream music and nearly everyone has a supported device in their home. Whether that be a Smart speaker like the Amazon Echo<\/a>, old speakers using a Google Chromecast<\/a>, multi-speaker systems like Sonos, consoles, Smart TVs, and so on.<\/p>\n

Vizio, not wanting to buck the trend, have announced a new range of TV soundbars that will all feature Google Cast<\/a> abilities. Cast is Google’s technology that allows a speaker\/system with cast inbuilt to stream music or video from another device on the same WiFi connection. Supported services include Spotify, Google Play Music, Netflix, YouTube, and many more.<\/p>\n

Of course streaming Netflix to a sound bar might be a little redundant but with the high quality and clarity of Vizio’s new models streaming music is easy and sounds a treat. Vizio haven’t gone into much detail for the whole of their new range but said of the 45-inch Slim Sound Bar with 5.1 surround sound:<\/p>\n

Vizio’s flagship offering was engineered with custom drivers, a center channel for enhanced dialogue clarity and a sleek profile that doesn’t sacrifice audio quality. Measuring 2″ high and 2″ deep, the 45″ slim sound bar features rear satellite speakers and pumps up to 104dB Sound Pressure Level (SPL) 1 and 30Hz of bass. The flagship model, along with the 40″ 3.1, 40″ 5.1 and 45″ 3.1\u00a0slim sound bar configurations, features a sleek and compact 3″ tall subwoofer, perfect for easy, out-of-the-way storage beneath or next to a sofa.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Vizio’s sound bars also feature Bluetooth connectivity but c’mon, that’s so 2007. They also offer multi-room options if you have 2 or more Vizio devices, so you can connect them up to play music in different rooms or just to enhance the sound. There are two basic types for their range of new speakers: 2.1 setups featuring a soundbar and wireless, cuboid subwoofer and the 3.1 setups featuring their flagship bar with a wireless slim subwoofer.<\/p>\n
