French music streaming service Deezer has published their first quarter 2025 earnings, showing revenue, subscriber and more numbers.<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Deezer has reported their earnings for Q1 2025. You can find a full breakdown of their results here.<\/a> Spotify also recently revealed their Q1 2025 results, which you can find here.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

First up is revenue, which hit \u20ac134 million in the quarter, up 1.1% compared to Q1 2024.<\/a> France saw a 4.5% revenue increase, while the rest of world saw a 3.4% decrease. Revenue can be broken up into Direct<\/strong> – \u20ac86.6 million (+0.6%), Partnerships<\/strong> – \u20ac39.2 million (-9.4%), and Other<\/strong> – \u20ac8.3 million (+155.0%).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over on subscriptions, Deezer reported 9.4 million paying subscribers, which is down 5.4% year-over-year. This is made up of 3.5 million Direct subscribers in France<\/strong> (+6.3%), 1.5 million Direct subscribers in the rest of world<\/strong> (-2.1%), and 4.1 million Partnerships subscribers<\/strong> (-14.6%). Deezer explains these decreases as “reflecting the expected impact of conversion of MeLi+ promo cohorts to premium with higher ARPU & margins.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Deezer also highlighted some of the top new features launched so far this year, including their partnership with SACEM for artist-centric royalties for publishing rights<\/a>, the launch of AI detection tools<\/a>, and the upcoming ability to customize algorithmic recommendations, personalize the app and share music across platforms.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n
