This represents 18% of all new content uploaded to the platform, which is up from the 10% that was <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/deezer-reveals-that-10-of-new-music-uploaded-is-ai\/\">reported in January<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Deezer launched its<a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/deezer-files-patents-for-ai-detection-tools-to-combat-fraudulent-content\/\"> AI-music detection tool<\/a> in January, which helped it discover that 10% of all uploaded music had been created with the help of AI. Now, the company has recognised that generative AI has the potential to impact music creation and consumption positively, but at the moment a flood of AI-generated music could pose problems. Aurelien Herault, Chief Innovation Officer of Deezer commented, &#8220;AI generated content continues to flood streaming platforms like Deezer, and we see no sign of it slowing down.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Deezer is able to share these statistics on AI content thanks to the precision of its detection tool. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p>&#8220;<strong>Deezer\u2019s AI music detection tool sets an industry standard, with the ability to detect 100 % AI-generated music from the most prolific generative models \u2013 such as Suno and Udio, with the possibility to add detection capabilities for practically any other similar tool as long as there\u2019s access to relevant data examples.<\/strong>&#8220;<\/p><cite>Deezer<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>The company also shared that it has made progress on a detection system with greater &#8220;generalizability&#8221;, meaning the ability to &#8220;detect AI generated content without a specific dataset to train on.&#8221; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This all comes at a time where concerns are strong around AI-generated content that utilise AI that has been trained on copyrighted works without the rightsholders permission. Additionally, government&#8217;s attitudes and policies loosening the rules around copyright threatens to diminish the rights of artists in the name of advancing AI technology.
