YouTube\u2019s new \u201cCustom instrumentals\u201d<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

YouTube <\/a>has launched a new \u201cCustom Instrumentals<\/a>” feature that lets creators generate copyright-free background music using simple text prompts. Currently, the feature is rolling out to users with access to the Creator Music beta within YouTube Studio. YouTube began testing Creator Studio in 2023, with \u201cCustom Instrumentals\u201d found under a new \u201cMusic Assistant\u201d tab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe\u2019re gradually rolling out a feature that allows you to create custom instrumentals for your videos with the help of AI. You can access this feature in a new \u2018Music Assistant\u2019 tab in Creator Music.\u201d<\/a><\/p>YouTube explained via its Creator Insider Channel<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Creators can now describe the kind of sound they need for the video, and the AI generates a matching instrumental. Users can specify mood, instruments, and video type that the music will serve as a soundtrack for. YouTube has confirmed that the tool is free to use and copyright-safe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For artists and creators, this feature removes the stress of finding royalty-free tracks or worrying about takedown claims. It\u2019s particularly useful for independent artists and creators who are strapped for cash but still want polished, engaging, and professional-sounding videos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beat matching for Shorts<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

YouTube is also testing a new beat-syncing feature for Shorts<\/a>. This feature automatically matches your chosen photos and video clips to the rhythm of a selected song, making edits feel smooth and easy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While it\u2019s especially useful for music-driven storytelling and creating eye-catching Shorts, this feature can be used for more personal projects, like syncing soundtracks to private video or photo collections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhen you select multiple photos and video clips from your phone\u2019s gallery, you\u2019ll now have the option to automatically create a short video synced to music.
