While still being tested, both tools could present new opportunities for artists and creators looking to build deeper fan connections and better understand their audience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3>Unlockable Reels<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Instagram has officially begun testing a new unlockable <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/how-to-upload-music-to-instagram\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Reels<\/a> feature, as revealed by Instagram\u2019s official <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/design\/?e=89706c1d-45c6-480c-bec0-ed7fd7b9901b&amp;g=5\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">@design<\/a> account. Aiming to spark engagement, the idea is simple: a Reel appears locked and blurred, prompting viewers to \u201cEnter secret code\u201d to unlock and view it. Unlockable Reels take this idea further by requiring a code to unlock feed content. There\u2019s currently no confirmed release date, but the feature is labeled as \u201ccoming soon\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The test also included a preview of Meta\u2019s Community Notes, similar to Twitter\/X that adds more context to posts through crowd-sourced annotations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3>Monthly recaps<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Instagram is also testing out a monthly recap feature designed to give creators a clearer picture of how their content is performing.
