The indie track \u201cDANCE\u201d from roseboy <\/a>is getting a revival in 2025, thanks to a brand-new remix by DSCO<\/a>, a debut project bringing a modern twist to classic disco. Titled \u201cDANCE (DSCO Remix)\u201d<\/em>, the release blends groove and contemporary production to reintroduce the track in a new light.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Originally released in 2022, roseboy\u2019s DANCE<\/em> found a strong audience, landing editorial placements across major streaming platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, FLO, Melon, and more. It was a solid moment for an independent artist, and now, three years later, the track is getting reworked by a fresh voice in the scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DSCO, launching in 2025, comes from an electronic music background but has a clear love for the golden era of disco. His remix doesn\u2019t aim to replicate the past, instead, it draws from it while keeping one foot firmly in the present. \u201cI think there\u2019s a lot of nostalgia in the disco genre,\u201d DSCO says. \u201cI grew up listening to stuff like Bee Gees, Earth, Wind & Fire, and Donna Summer. But with my background in electronic production, I felt like I could bring something new to it, something that still gets people moving but feels current.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His take on DANCE<\/em> strips things back slightly and leans into groove and rhythm. The bassline is bouncy and warm, the synth melodies float through with that unmistakable retro shimmer, and the vocal sits comfortably in the mix, repeating its mantra: \u201cI\u2019m just tryna dance.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There\u2019s something satisfying about hearing a song you\u2019re already familiar with take on a new shape. This remix doesn\u2019t try to outshine the original, instead, it adds a different energy.
