Their data is based on worldwide sales, across physical formats, downloads, as well as free and paid streaming, for the calendar year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the Global Artist Chart specifically, data is based on an artist&#8217;s entire body of work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The winner of the biggest-selling Global Recording Artist of the Year 2024 is <strong>Taylor Swift<\/strong>. With the release of her eleventh studio album \u200b\u200b<em>THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT<\/em>, as well as recent <em>Taylor&#8217;s Version<\/em> re-releases and <em>The Eras Tour<\/em> boosting older releases, it&#8217;s no wonder <strong>Taylor Swift<\/strong> has been able to continue her success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As the 12th year of the Global Recording Artist of the Year Award, this win marks the fifth time <strong>Taylor Swift<\/strong> has topped the list and third consecutive year, both more than any other artist.
