For independent and unsigned musicians, this means quicker access to royalties earned from platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you\u2019re an independent artist or songwriter relying on streaming income, this change could make managing your finances easier. Instead of waiting for quarterly payouts, you\u2019ll have more regular cash flow to support your creative work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The move follows a series of improvements at PRS for Music, including a reduction in the MTOL (Multi-Territory Online Licensing) admin rate in 2024, which is expected to deliver an additional \u00a347m to members by 2030.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3><strong>How It Works<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The new monthly system is sait to have been made possible by advancements in PRS for Music\u2019s Nexus programme and the development of the world\u2019s first multi-territory licensing hub mentioned earlier.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new payment schedule will run alongside PRS\u2019s existing quarterly payments in April, July, October, and December.
