This includes the artist showcase and after-party. Instead, Universal will redirect the allocated funds to provide support for those affected by the fires, as well as the first responders working tirelessly to combat the crisis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While the Recording Academy confirmed that the Grammy Awards ceremony, scheduled for February 2nd, will proceed as planned, it will take on a focus which aims to use the global platform of the awards to raise awareness and additional funds for wildfire relief efforts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>UMG shared that this decision was made in solidarity with those impacted by the wildfires, including many within their own community being employees or artists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The fires have already caused widespread damage, displacing thousands of residents and endangering lives and property across the region.
