My Deezer Year 2024 has landed, enabling users to bait the comments section.<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Deezer has rounded up the top music stats of 2024, while unleashing a new customisable and shareable My Deezer Year experience that lets users either be praised or torn to shreds over their music taste. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Deezer, “On average people listened to 70 hours of music globally on Deezer, racking up 400 songs from nearly 170 artists.” Additionally, almost 3% of Deezer subscribers are a superfan or at least one artist, and music discovery was the theme of the year with people discovering close to 80 songs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Azzedine Fall, Director of Music & Culture, Deezer said:\u00a0\u201cGlobally, 2024 has been a year of music discovery and new voices, bringing a wave of fresh talent and thrilling shifts in the mainstream. Breakout stars including Sabrina Carpenter, Asake, Chappell Roan, and Benson Boone have left a lasting mark, captivating audiences worldwide with their unique styles and stories. Carpenter solidified her place in the pop world while Asake brought an infectious energy to Afrobeats that resonated far beyond Nigeria. Chappell Roan\u2019s bold, genre-blurring pop and Benson Boone\u2019s soaring vocals and acrobatics captured listeners\u2019 attention, marking them as new leaders.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          Besides Deezer wrapping its own 2024, it has highlighted its in-app experience geared towards fans. This feature is very similar to the popular Spotify Wrapped, which summarises users’ listening habits for the year just passed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          New for this year, Deezer has made it possible for users to invite outside perspective on their music taste. This change has been inspired by the often-heated comments section on social media. The mood can either be high-level hyping up, or “pass me the popcorn” digital curtain twitching while users go in on the original poster and each other. The idea, presumably, is for this to take place all in good fun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          Another fun new feature of the My Deezer Year experience is a personal quiz that users can share to put their friends’ knowledge of their music taste to the test. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
