A new deal between them and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/how-to-get-my-music-on-apple-music\/\">Apple Music<\/a><\/strong> makes it easier for customers to subscribe to the music streaming service through China Mobile&#8217;s app or at retail outlets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p>Apple Music is all about the love of music, and we\u2019re committed to bringing that love to as many people as possible. We\u2019re excited to bring the world-class Apple Music experience to more people through China Mobile, so they can explore the world\u2019s best music.<\/p><cite>Wang Gang, General Manager, Migu (China Mobile\u2019s digital content platform)<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>This could see Apple Music increase their presence in China. The music streaming market in China is dominated by domestic players such as <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/what-is-tencent-music\/\"><strong>Tencent Music<\/strong><\/a>, whose services QQ Music, Kugou, Kuwo and WeSing have 571 monthly active users and 117 million paying users. <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/what-is-netease-cloud-music\/\"><strong>NetEase Cloud Music<\/strong><\/a> has around 206 million monthly active users and 42 million paying subscribers. China Mobile also has its own music streaming service, <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/make-money-music-top-30-chinese-stores-streaming-services\/\"><strong>Migu<\/strong><\/a>, which according to <a href=\"https:\/\/en.kanjian.com\/china\/\">Kanjian<\/a> has 130 million paying subscribers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With tight restrictions around foreign music and censorship of lyrics, Western music streaming players have struggled to make an impact in the Chinese market. Apple Music are in fact the only Western service available in China. <a href=\"https:\/\/daxueconsulting.com\/music-streaming-platforms-in-china\/\">According to Daxue Consulting,<\/a> Apple Music has a limited collection of songs in the market, plus some features like podcasts and radio aren&#8217;t available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/upload-your-music-to-spotify-for-free\/\">Spotify<\/a> is not available in China due to a deal with Tencent Music Entertainment.
