They are responsible for huge platforms in China, including the three biggest music services: Kuwo, Kugou, and QQ Music, collectively home to 571 million monthly listeners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tencent have just announced their new Global Music Outreach Initiative aimed at fostering cultural exchange, supporting emerging artists, and connecting music lovers worldwide. This ambitious program builds upon Tencent&#8217;s music platforms and partnerships for a more global reach. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the heart of the initiative is a commitment to expand music licensing agreements with international music labels and right holders. This will enable Tencent to offer a wider range of global music content on its platforms, such as QQ Music and Kugou Music, providing listeners with a diverse and comprehensive musical experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To nurture emerging talent, Tencent will launch artist development programs. These programs will provide aspiring musicians with opportunities for training, mentorship, and exposure on Tencent&#8217;s platforms, helping them to realise their full potential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, Tencent will organise and partner with global music festivals and events. These events will showcase diverse musical genres, connect artists with audiences worldwide, and foster a sense of community among music lovers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To promote cross-cultural understanding, Tencent will encourage collaborations between artists from different regions. By working together, artists can create music that transcends cultural boundaries and expands their audiences into new regions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tencent&#8217;s Global Music Outreach Initiative is a significant step forward in the company&#8217;s effort to expand its global footprint and contribute to the growth of the music industry.
