While it offers exciting opportunities for creativity and experimentation, it also presents new challenges for artists. One of the most pressing concerns is the potential misuse of AI to replicate or mimic the work of existing artists, infringing on their intellectual property and harming their livelihoods. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Recognising their position as the world&#8217;s leading video website, YouTube have been upfront about their efforts in AI. As well as <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/youtube-ai-content-inspiration-tool\/\">implementing AI into their creator tools<\/a>, YouTube are vocal about their efforts to tackle the proliferation of AI content on their platform. This week comes the first big policy reveals since last November, with the announcement of brand new tools being developed to safeguard music artists and other creators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These tools include identification technology that can pick up on artificially generated vocals. The tool will bolster their <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/youtube-content-id\">Content ID<\/a> system, which generates copyright music, and will allow easy management of AI generated content. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>YouTube&#8217;s existing Content ID system will be further refined to provide more granular control over AI-generated content. This will help prevent AI-generated content from being used without the artist&#8217;s permission, preserving the integrity of their work, and potentially increasing their revenue from legitimate licensing and distribution. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, YouTube is developing face detection technology that will enable artists to detect and manage AI-generated content that depicts their faces on YouTube.  They have implemented safeguards to prevent the misuse of AI tools and have emphasised the importance of creators reviewing AI-generated content carefully before publishing it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>Keep your music safe on YouTube using Content ID.
