Their premium music streaming service <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/free-youtube-music-distribution-2\/\">YouTube Music<\/a> is testing a new custom radio that works from your prompts. Powered by AI, this radio hopes to expand the potential for music discovery and on-demand vibes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The feature &#8211; which is currently being tested &#8211; appears on the Home feed of a user&#8217;s app. It offers them to &#8220;Ask for music any way you like&#8221;. Simply describe your musical desires through text prompts or voice commands. The AI will generate a personalised radio station packed with songs that match your mood and preferences. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you&#8217;ve given your prompt, YouTube will use its AI to create the playlist that both suits your tastes and your prompt to the best of its ability. It will generate a radio station using their existing playlist card. It comes with a station name, description, and is labelled &#8220;Created for you&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>YouTube are somewhat behind competitors. <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/spotifys-new-ai-dj\/\">Spotify revealed a new AI DJ at the start of last year<\/a>, with an AI radio host that plays a selection of user&#8217;s liked tracks and new recommendations. <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/amazon-music-unveils-maestro-your-ai-playlist-genie\/\">Amazon launched a similar feature with their AI-powered &#8216;Maestro&#8217;<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The music streaming market is booming, with over 600 million users globally. The US leads the pack, but how are American&#8217;s choosing their tunes? <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/just-3-music-services-dominate-90-of-the-u-s-market\/\">A recent Digital Music News report unveils the &#8220;Big Three&#8221; music streaming services<\/a>: <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/spotify#:~:text=You%20can%20distribute%20unlimited%20music,listeners%20all%20around%20the%20world.\">Spotify<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/how-to-get-my-music-on-apple-music\/\">Apple Music<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/get-music-on-amazon-music\/\">Amazon Music<\/a>, claiming a whopping 90% of the paid market share in the US.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>YouTube Music sit in fourth with just 6.8% of the paid music streaming market share.
