Spotify predict the most streamed songs this summer and drop your personalised summer throwback playlist.

Summer looks a bit different in most parts of the world this year, with many still stuck indoors. That doesn’t stop more people than ever streaming their favourite songs on Spotify and getting in the ‘summer mood’. Spotify have taken a look into their current streaming numbers and trends, and reckon they’ve got a good idea of what the biggest songs will be by the end of this summer.

Past year’s top tunes include Drake – In My Feelings and Shawn Mendes & Camila Cabello – Señorita.

2020’s Songs of Summer predictions include something for everyone, with new hits such as DaBaby – ROCKSTAR (feat. Roddy Ricch) and Megan Thee Stallion – Savage Remix (feat. Beyoncé), as well as older tracks from 2019 still pulling in big numbers, such as Harry Styles – Watermelon Sugar.

“Plus, as the cultural conversation has shifted on ways to support the Black community” some songs have resurfaced, such as Childish Gambino – This is America and Kendrick Lamar – Alright.
