Spotify Group Sessions is the perfect new feature for house parties
Spotify’s newest feature for Premium users, may help you host the best post quarantine house party.
Group Sessions allows multiple users to control one music source. Playing, pausing, skipping, adding and rearranging the queue on one device will sync across all devices. All participants must be Spotify Premium users.
- Pull up the now playing bar from the bottom of the screen
- Tap the Connect or Bluetooth icon in the bottom left
This will show a Spotify QR-style Code. 
Users wishing to join must head to the same screen on their phone and tap ‘SCAN TO JOIN’.
This will end phone sharing or fighting over the connection to the speakers. However make no mistake, Group Sessions won’t solve the issue of party poopers skipping songs or interrupting the queue.
Spotify will reportedly be adding more functionality to this feature over time.
