Spotify’s new podcast Spotify: For the Record, takes listeners behind the scenes, with chats from top artists and music streaming industry experts.
For two years, Spotify have shared the background in big moments for music, playlists and podcasts on the platform with their newsroom – For the Record.
Spotify: For the Record brings this behind the scenes to your devices in podcast form. Spotify will be chatting to employees, artists and industry experts about music, podcasts and tech. With discussions about “cultural events, listening trends, the tech behind our platform, and more.”
The first three episodes cover:
- Supporting the Black Community – How cultural moments are reflected in music, what Spotify is doing to elevate Black voices and support the Black community.
- Podcasts: The Medium of the Moment – The rise of podcasting and top shows on Spotify from the likes of Joe Rogan, Kim Kardashian and Michelle Obama. As well as chats with Spotify CEO Daniel Ek and CFO Paul Vogel.
- Artists & Creativity During COVID-19 – Chatting with producers and artists including Katy Perry, about writing, recording and releasing music during lockdown.
