SoundCloud Pulse – SoundCloud’s First App for Creators

Today SoundCloud released their first app tailored for creators on Android devices.

SoundCloud Pulse is designed as a companion to the existing SoundCloud app which will enable users to manage their accounts and to “keep their communities humming – anytime, anywhere.” The original SoundCloud app was updated last year to shift from creator to user based design and it seems the backlash from fans was listened to, even if it is a year later.

With the new Pulse app users will be able to reply to comments on your own tracks, view up-to-date track performance stats, share your sounds and follow users all within the app. Whilst it may seem a little underwhelming SoundCloud are promising more to come along with an iOS version of the app.

Amongst the features SoundCloud plan to bring to Soundcloud Pulse are more in-depth statistics, the ability to edit the information of your tracks, expanded messaging capabilities as well as the ability to upload tracks. SoundCloud didn’t reveal when we can expect to see more features or the iOS app.
