SoundCloud Go is now available in Canada aye

SoundCloud’s first subscription service has launched in Canada for an extended music collection, offline music and ad-free listening.

Earlier this year SoundCloud launched their first ever subscription for listeners with SoundCloud Go. After conflicts with major labels over SoundCloud’s free platform SoundCloud signed deals with the labels and now even offers tracks from major label artists through SoundCloud Go.

SoundCloud Go is now available in Canada offering an expanded catalog of tracks that are new to the platform, new features and new functionality. Canadian users can still access SoundCloud for free the same as before except they will have ads interspersed between the music like on Spotify. SoundCloud aren’t doing this to fill their own pockets though, instead making sure that creators and artists are able to get paid for their work.

SoundCloud Go benefits:

  • Even more tracks from emerging and established creators – including the massive hits, the latest tracks from the biggest names, the sounds of the underground, the most engaging podcasts and the best of what’s up-and-coming – all in one place
  • The ability to listen offline on your mobile device without a cell signal or internet connection
  • An uninterrupted, ad-free listening experience

Those new to SoundCloud Go can sign up for a free 30-day trial from their website or from SoundCloud’s mobile app. Once the 30 days are up SoundCloud Go costs $9.99 a month. (If you purchase a subscription through SoundCloud’s iOS app the price will be raised to $13.99 so it’s advised you purchase it on a computer or on Android)
