Lost for something to watch when browsing your Roku and fancy a musical respite? Good news! Spotify are back on Roku players and TVs to bring the tunes to you.

After Roku owners were made to sadly part with music streaming on Spotify last December they have combined again just in time for Christmas. Spotify are back and bringing their 40+ million track library to Roku players and TVs for all of the music streaming pleasure from the comfort of sitting in front of your TV.

The Spotify app is back on the Roku store for download on devices running Roku OS 9 and OS 8.2. With the Spotify app users can search artists, albums, tracks and playlists from their incredible catalogue of music available for unlimited streaming. Whether you want some tunes on the TV to do chores to or you’re soundtracking a party, load up the Spotify app on your Roku player or TV and getting streaming is simple.

Spotify is available to listen to through Roku for free and Premium listeners, but logging in to a Premium account offers extra benefits such as higher sound quality and uninterrupted listening without ads. Users can navigate the Spotify app either with their Roku remote control or using Spotify Connect on a device or PC for seamless browsing and control.

It’s probably not a coincidence that Spotify has come back to Roku just in time for their new Wireless TV Speakers, making a neat little audio package. The speakers work differently to other TV speakers and wireless speakers by connecting directly to the Roku boxes or TVs via Roku Connect.

Spotify has started rolling out to Roku TVs and players now and they plan to have the music streaming service back on all supported devices by the end of the year. You can find out more about the supported devices and required software here: support.roku.com/article/360010286734
