Studio
When it came to recording for me, the college gives students full access to all the studios equipment, including a high-end Mac Pro capable of recording multiple tracks at once, effects racks, instruments and amps, a range of microphones suitable for any instruments, sound isolated rooms, headphones that have close to no leak, and studio monitors.

This gives users the chance to gain full knowledge of equipment used in professional studios, however this equipment is not essential to produce a high quality track.
If recording on a budget and you don’t have free access to a studio, many cheap options are available that can give you similar outcomes. All that’s needed to get starting in the world of music recording is a laptop with a DAW (digital audio workstation) and a cheap USB microphone.
With the right close mic-ing techniques and mixing skills, a high-end recording can be made from cheap gear.
