iTunes Radio Launches its Music Streaming Service in Australia for Free

Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) has just launched iTunes Radio in Australia. This is the second country launch behind the USA.

iTunes Radio is free with adverts and features 100 DJ-curated and genre-focused stations. If you’ve subscribed to the iTunes Match service – which costs AU$34.99 (US$31) for a year – the ads are removed from the music stream.

iTunes Radio is quite late to the party in Australian with already Rdio, Spotify, Deezer, and Pandora, as well as homegrown Guvera already grabbing marketshare.

iTunes Radio is still very limited and will only be attractive to a certain type of listener. We shall see if they can grab some decent numbers.

All RouteNote artists will have their music in this international version of iTunes Radio in Australia.
