The Lineage MIDI guitar is the upcoming six string controller promising unique touchscreen control and low-latency performance.

The Lineage guitar gives guitarists to compose anything you can think of in-studio with an instrument they are already familiar with but it can be used for performance, practice and almost anything else a regular electric guitar can provide.

As a MIDI controller the Lineage guitar of course opens up a massive array of sounds to experiment, record and play with.

Inspired Instruments new controller promises up to 10ms less latency than a standard guitar to MIDI and features USB, 5 Pin MIDI, 1/4″ mono guitar jack out and 1/8″ mini headphone/line out connectivity.

The stand out feature of the Lineage MIDI guitar is it’s 3.5-inch LCD touchscreen above the pickup easy access to mappable controllers and settings.

It is designed to replicate the full size of an electric guitar with an 1-11/16″ maple neck, traditional C-style contour with a 13″ radius and 22 fret fingerboard featuring simulated strings.

The body is made of real wood and the instrument uses an enhanced YRG trigger system for the six stainless steel strings with adjustable tension.

The guitar also features three mappable continous controllers, two whammy modes and two palm switches for optimum flexibility whilst playing. The Lineage guitar also includes a rechargeable 4000 mAh lithium polymer battery which is expected to provide around 10 hours of continous playing time.

The Lineage MIDI guitar is available for pre-order in black or white from their website here and is expected to be released in the last half of 2015.
