While there’s no traditional payment from TikTok to its creators (as with YouTube), top followed account earn revenue primarily via merch and sponsored content.

Earnings are calculated from 30th June 2019 – 30th June 2020 through chats Forbes had with influencers, agents, managers, marketers and investors. This list only include those native to TikTok, therefore doesn’t include prominent celebs on the app such as Dwayne Johnson, Jason Derulo (who reportedly earns over $75k per sponsored TikTok), Zach King and David Dobrick.
