Amazon have brought their audiobook app back to Sonos speaker systems for a wireless, quality listening experience with your books.

It’s been two years since Audible was last working on Sonos speakers but an update ruined their functionality so they just stopped working together. Now after accidentally announcing that Audible was re-integrated into Sonos two weeks ago, Amazon’s audiobook app is back and ready for streaming through Sonos speaker systems.

Alexa support is being added for Sonos One speakers so that users can tell their system to open up Audible and play an audiobook from their library. They’re also adding in support for Sonos systems set up with an Amazon Echo speaker. For now users can start streaming from “the world’s largest selection of audiobooks” by casting from the Audible app or straight from the Sonos app.

To celebrate Audible’s re-arrival on Sonos speakers they are giving away 2 free credits instead of their usual one and a complimentary audiobook when new users sign up for a 30-day trial through the Sonos app. The free audiobook they’re giving away is Miles Davis’ autobiography ‘Miles’.
