YouTube announced that they would be creating exclusive shows and movies when they launched YouTube Red and they’re almost here.

YouTube’s first subscription service, YouTube Red, launched last October in the US. With it’s launch YouTube also said they were partnering with a selection of popular YouTubers and studios to create original shows and feature length movies exclusive for Red subscribers. We now know that the first selection of their exclusive content will be launching on the 10th of this month.

The first wave of content will feature ‘Scare PewDiePie‘, a series featuring the most subscribed person on YouTube in a series of reality-adventure situations. The YouTuber with 42 million subscribers – PewDiePie, Felix Kjellberg, will have to face “terrifying situations inspired by his favourite video games” in the series.

This is the first and only series that will debut on the 10th February but there will also be 3 feature length videos released. The first is a documentary that follows popular YouTube vlogger and comedian Lilly Singh as she tours the country called ‘A Trip to Unicorn Island‘. A teen musical named ‘Dance Camp‘ and a comedy from Rooster Teeth called ‘Lazer Team‘ will also be released.

YouTube’s Global Head of Original Content, Susanne Daniels said: “These series and movies are just the beginning. We have lots more thrills, chills, LOLs, smiles, romances, and surprises from more of your favourite YouTube stars coming later this year.”

You can sign up for YouTube Red now at youtube.com/red. YouTube Red is currently only available in the US though it is coming to other countries like the UK soon.
