YouTube Music Key Beta – Is It Worth It?


The long awaited and much rumoured YouTube Music Key is here kind of… Currently in Beta, in UK, US, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Finland and Ireland, and it’s an invite only for the first six months of testing. More information on the service here.

But is it worth parting with your cash?

Subscriptions currently are $7.99/month (discounted from $9.99/month). Most current YouTube music streamers love it because it’s free. Other than that, there’s nothing really that attract users to YouTube over Spotify, Deezer, Rdio or any of the other major players in the game. YouTube is new, so can’t offer the same user friendly features that others can. Those who currently use Google Play Music will get the YouTube service added for free, which is a great bonus.
