Microsoft updated their Xbox Music application for iOS and Android this week with the biggest new feature being the ability to stream your songs from OneDrive, Microsoft’s cloud storage service.

This means that you can upload your songs to the OneDrive and then stream them through Xbox Music application, a service that has been available on Windows since March.

This new feature doesn’t require a subscription to Xbox Music so you can stream mp3s from the cloud and download them for offline listening all for free, brilliant for having your music collection on you at all times.

Microsoft revealed earlier this week that they will be rebranding their streaming service from Xbox Music to Groove later this month on PCs with the launch of Windows 10, and other platforms in the near future. Microsoft said this move is to distinguish their music and video streaming services from their gaming brand.
