Wireless Connect and Electric Blockaloo are festivals due later this year, coming straight from your bedroom.

With a huge amount of the population in lockdown, many artists have taken to social media to live stream gigs from their bedroom. Tech and VR companies are working hard to enhance this experience for you with virtual reality concerts and integrating video games. Travis Scott recently performed in Fortnite. The video has since amassed over 39 million views.

VR startup MelodyVR have partnered with Live Nation’s subsidary Festival Republic to bring the cancelled Wireless Festival online. Wireless Connect will feature an entire weekend of unseen pre-recorded performances, exclusive footage and more in 360 virtual reality on the MelodyVR app. The festival comes live 3-5th July 2020.

Electric Blockaloo takes a different approach to the virtual festival idea. The dance music festival will take place in Minecraft. Over 300 artists including Diplo, Zhu, A-Track and Claude VanStroke will perform between 25-28th June 2020. Electric Blockaloo is a ticketed event. Keep an eye on the artists social pages for ‘guest list’ codes, then general admission and VIP access tickets will be purchasable.
