Ex Girls Aloud Member, Nadine Coyle, Launches Her Debut Album Exclusively with Tesco

Nadine Coyle has just released her debut album exclusively with Tesco’s in the UK and Ireland.

Nadine Coyle is better know for being apart of the pop act Girls Aloud. Since splitting from the band Nadine seems to think she is the only reason the band had success, but I think they had success because they are all very good looking girls!

Coyle considered “numerous offers from several major record companies,” according to a statement. However, the pop singer decided to sign an exclusive distribution deal with Tesco for the physical release of “Insatiable.” The album is out Nov. 8 on her own label, Black Pen, preceded by the title track as a single a week earlier.

“To be able to create an album where you are in complete creative control and to work with people as supportive, powerful and forward thinking as Tesco is a once in a lifetime opportunity for an artist,” she said in a statement. “Releasing my album through Tesco is such a great way to connect with everybody. I buy all my own music at Tesco”.

Im thinking this release is going to be a flop!

Tesco To Launch a Digital Music Locker Service

We have received a tip that Tesco’s is currently working on a digital locker service which is built on the cloud. The aim for Tesco’s is to bring CD and DVD sales in-store to digital version available online.

“The way it would work practically is that when you buy a disc in store or online, that title would be put up into your Digital Locker which would immediately be accessible from devices registered to that locker,” explains Blueprint Digital CEO Richard Bron, whose company is working with Tesco on the scheme.

October is pegged as the likely launch date.

Tesco Has The New U2 Album for Only £3.97

Over at MusicAlly they have pointed out that the new U2 album (No Line On The Horizon) is currently on Amazon’s US Mp3 store for only $3.99. However, because we are based in the UK there is nowhere we can get this album for so cheap, until now. Tesco has taken the step forward and is now selling the new U2 album in a week-long deal for ony £3.97.

This shows that the digital music store price wars are about to heat up! However, you will notice that iTunes never seems to get into these price wars.
