Greyson Chance has had an amazing 2010. Since adding a video of himself covering Lady Gaga’s Paparazzi in June, he has had 34 million hits, received a record contract and been on the Ellen show. Above is the performance that made him famous and below is his first single.

Yoko Ono is planning to throw a two day concert in Los Angeles for her late husband, John Lennon.

According to Spin, October 1st will feature performances by Iggy Pop, Nels Cline and Mike Watt.  October 2nd will host sets by Lady Gaga, along with Thurston Moore and Kim Gordon of Sonic Youth.  And finally, both nights will feature “RZA, Perry Farrell, Carrie “Princess Leia” Fisher, actor Vincent Gallo, Paul Simon’s son Harper, and more.”

“Hand-picked artists will join the band onstage, much like the We Are Plastic Ono Band show in Brooklyn this past February, where guest stars included Eric Clapton, Paul Simon, and Scissor Sisters…

“Fans can expect something similar to the Brooklyn show, where the band played selections from Plastic Ono Band’s catalogue, including an all-star jam finale of 1969’s “Give Peace a Chance.” The set also featured newer material culled from Ono’s surprising 2009 album, Between My Head and the Sky.

“Tickets are already onsale for the event via Ticketmaster.”

Along with the document, the user who posted the inside scoop seems to have heard three tunes: “Far From Me”, “You & I” and  “Hooker on A Church Corner.”

Here’s the excerpt from the anonymous source:

Far From Me is a really epic song about a break up and sounds like Poker Face on steroids, You & I is a great ballad about love and Hooker is a really sexy dance track and also really addictive and dark.

No one has confirmed these rumours, so don’t get too excited yet.

Lady Gaga has previously stated that her third studio album was “my best work to date,” so maybe the Bowie rumors are true.

When you thought you could hear any more Lady Gaga, here is the new remix album! Since The Fame Monster has only eight tracks and she is starting to run out material, she has now put together an official remix album which features some of her classic tracks.

According to EW.com (via CoS), Lady Gaga will be releasing an official remix album simply title, Lady Gaga – The Remix, on August 3.

The international remix album currently has the following tracks:

I love Lady Gaga’s music videos because they are just strange and great to watch. Its so refreshing not to just see a boy band singing on top of high rise or something similar.

This is one of the catchiest songs on the 8-track album, The Fame Monster, but Im not a fan of this song.

Fusari, who has had two songs with other artists hit the top spot in the Billboard top 100, claims that he was instrumental in the creation of LG’s persona, sound, style and everything that has come together to make her so successful. There’s no doubt that he is partly responsible for the development of the Gaga entity, as he’s already been paid over $600,000 for the part he played, but he’s looking for a lot more: 20% of royalties (plays, sales, etc) and 15% of merchandising revenue (!!!). He’s got a contract that he’s putting under the court’s collective nose, but “The above described arrangement was structured in such a way as to mask its true purpose – to provide to the Defendants unlawful compensation for their services as unlicensed employment agents,” according to Germanotta’s attorneys.

Ex-lovers’ tiff or business-world backstabbing? The stakes are high in either case, as Lusari’s career and a huge chunk of revenue are riding on the outcome of the case. It all reminds me a bit of that Human League song… *sings* “You were working as a waitress in a cocktail bar…”

Lady GaGa is set to begin a run of dates in the U.K. (promoted by AEG Live) on Feb. 18 at the MEN Arena in Manchester, followed by shows in Australia, New Zealand and Japan, which are all almost sold out. According to sources, it is now expected that the artist will play arenas in Europe some time this spring, then North American arenas in the summer.

Live Nation has previous run heavy international tours for both U2 and Madonna, so Lady GaGa will be in good hands.

She’s every bit as much of a paragon for the new music industry as Radiohead and Trent Reznor, as a long article on the Wall Street Journal, in which they extol her virtuosity at replacing the ‘lost’ revenue from the music she gives away with other sources of income: touring, licensing, make-up endorsement deals…

An interesting point made in the article is that:

…much of Gaga’s audience got her music for free, and legally. They have listened to free streams—by the hundreds of millions—on YouTube and the other online services that Gaga currently leads, according to research firm BigChampagne. On MySpace, Gaga has had 321.5 million plays. By contrast, singer Susan Boyle tallied only 133,000 plays, despite scoring the No. 2 selling album of 2009. A difference (among many) between Gaga and the dowdy Scotswoman discovered on a British talent show: Ms. Boyle’s material, including “Amazing Grace,” was traditional—and so were most of her buyers. Some 97% of her albums were sold on compact disc.

This really underlines the generation gap between Gaga and Boyle, which points at a larger truth – while it is still possible to have enourmous commercial success through the traditional routes, Boyle’s fame being delivered mostly through the TV and her sales being on CD, this market will be dwindling with time. Young consumers are more used to getting their music online and for free.
