Next up is Shirley Bassey, Adrian Moles’ teenage idol, who’s ‘The Performance’ will be available from we7 and via a widget on the Guardian.co.uk music pages.  The album and widget will go live on 6th November and features songs written by Take That’s Gary Barlow, The Kaiser Chiefs, The Manic Street Preachers, The Pet Shop Boys, KT Tunstall and Rufus Wainwright.

When you’re done with that, you can go listen to ‘Sans Fusils, Ni Souliers, a Paris: Martha Wainwright’s Piaf Record’ from the sister of the aforementioned Rufus – I’m a fan of Martha’s ever since I saw her doing her funny leg thing at South By South West last year, inexplicably sexy…

To start off i had decided that everyone was just milking the Guitar Hero/Rockband goat as far as it would go. But for us its now gone full circle. When the Game first came out it was full of, who we considered, has-beens who hadn’t really released anything for a while, but some juicy bands are starting to sign up and now we find ourselves thinking, wouldn’t it be awesome if this band joined? Imagine a Lego Satriani slamming away!

The Initial line-up was Iggy Pop, The Automatic, Sum 41, Pink an other sickly pop groups like lego iggy popKaiser Chiefs and you seem to get the impression that they made the game for the hell of it with whoever they could “stick” in (sorry) at the time, a bit like Guitar Hero 5 really. Or the U2 Rock band if they ever get there “I’m Jealous of Aerosmith” way about it. But as you dig deeper you start to get the impression that The Lego Rockband guys have more of a sense or humour than that. Other acts include Europe (Final Countdown), and Ray Parker Jr. (The Ghost Busters Theme dude) which both must have been added for comedy value, surely. Some acts actually have some integrity too like The Foo Fighters and Vampire weekend. I wonder if Bloc Party will Appear! (Aw come on, that was funny). Here is a Lego Blur.

RouteNote.com like to think that we provide a good service to the public with most things music. Whether you need a super platform to give yourself a boost as an artist or just advice on music in general. We have decided though to branch out as far as marriage advice, but in our own special way. After trawling thorough the dozens and dozens of songs that would all be sound advice coming from a best man of whoever to advise you to leave out of your (so her’s) special day! In no particular order, and we would love some feedback and some of your suggestions, 10 songs that you should not have played at your wedding. RouteNote.com would like to explain that it is Pro wedding, this is just for fun.

  • Highway To Hell – AC/DC. The song sold over 500,000 copies as a single, but the bride wouldn’t find the funny side if she had to come down the isle to it, but I could be wrong.
  • Girls - Motley Crue. Naughty, naughty. You only have eyes for your special someone now, remember!
  • U.G.L.Y – Daphne & Celeste. Just as rubbish a song as it is mean. This versatile entry can be used to insult both the groom by the bride or vice-verser, everybody win! Besides, even if your thinking it, don’t say it till you get home at least!
  • Rape Me – Nirvana. Do I actually need to explain why with this in inappropriate! One of the better songs on the list though, but still, that’s no excuse.
  • D.I.V.O.R.C.E. – Loretta Lynn. Come on chin up, that’s just not very optimistic now is it? Besides, honeymoons are fun!
  • Gold-digger – Kanye West. Pre-nups at the ready!
  • You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feeling - Righteous Brothers. A classic, released in 1965, the brothers were inducted into the rock and roll hall of fame last year. Still as true today as it ever was……….
  • She Hates Me – Puddle Of Mud. A nice kick in the balls way of accusing the wife of cheating.
  • Everyday I Love You Less And Less – Kaiser Chiefs. Having regrets are we? Honesty is the best policy you reckon? I’ll give that one some thought.
  • I Will Survive – Gloria Gaynor. A favourite with the ladies. I don’t need a man, I don’t need a man, meme meee, meme meee! Its a song about a surviving a breakup FOR GODS SAKE. That’s just not what the day is about now is it.
