Beyonce will be one of the headline acts at Glastonbury 2011.

“This really is the biggest festival in the world and I cannot wait to perform there. Everyone who attends is really appreciative of music and is in such a good mood that entire weekend,” she said in a statement. “I’m pumped just thinking about that huge audience and soaking up their energy.”

Beyonce will perform a 90-minute set on Sunday, June 26 on the Pyramid stage at Glastonbury.

Pez is a hip hop who performs a track called The Festival Song. It seems like this track has become the anthem everyone plays at the start of a festival in Australia. Its all a little weird, but its a great track. Enjoy!

It seems that Snoop Dogg is getting rejected from traveling to most countries around the world at the moment. The latest country to not accept Snoop is the Netherlands.

Snoop Dogg was scheduled to perform at the Parkpop festival, but the mayor and law enforcement officials asked its organizers to find an artist of more “open and friendly character” to play the event.

“Mojo, the largest concert promoter in Holland says, ‘We have never had any issues with Snoop, who has played magnificent shows at many of the festivals we promote such as Lowlands, North Sea Jazz and at several other promoted shows by Mojo.’ Snoop is a mainstay at music festivals all over the world and has performed at all of these without incident.”

Snoop Dogg is scheduled to perform at the Glastonbury and Wireless festivals in Britain this summer, after a ruling in March by a tribunal there that said the rapper should not have been denied a visa for entry in 2007 after a public disorder at Heathrow Airport in 2006, involving members of his entourage, resulted in Snoop Dogg’s arrest.

The reason, it states, is an increasing imposition of restrictions on the festival which made it impossible to continue.

The full statement reads:

As many Glade fans will know over the years we have fought hard to maintain the integrity of the event against steadily increasing restrictions imposed by local authority and police. The resulting compromises have led to increased costs, increased ticket prices and a throttling of the very essence of what we wanted to do. It led to us finally having to move from the lovely Wasing estate due to late night noise restrictions and the police’s demands for an ever-increasing security and police presence at the event.

At our new venue, Matterley Bowl, there has actually been some amazing support from the local council whose officers recognize the professional and co-operative way we run the event and the contribution to the local area and the country’s cultural diversity. They have worked with us to ensure the Glade is a safe and enjoyable event and openly recognize that we have one of the best event management teams in the country to do this.

However this year the requirements imposed upon us for policing, security and stewarding have been greatly increased. To make matters worse the reluctance of the police to negotiate in advance and deliberately delay any dialogue with us has resulted in our being unable to tie down a final costing for the event. This, along with unexpected legal fees associated with a last minute license review, has radically increased the cost of the festival.

Sad news indeed. The press release also advised people on what action ticket buyers should take if they, obviously, want to get some kind of refund:

To all those who have bought tickets to this years event, please go to the point of purchase to claim back a refund.

If you have bought your tickets from Ticketline, either directly or by buying tickets on Glade’s website, please contact Ticketline’s customer services by email at customerservices@ticketline.co.uk or by phone on 0844 888 4409 who will refund you for the face value of your the ticket. Booking fees will be retained as an admin fee.

The fourth annual month-long event where artists play in the name of music and the iTunes Store.

Like iTunes Festival 2007, 2008, and 2009, Apple has lined up more than 60 bands, one or two of which will play intimate shows each night at Camden’s Roundhouse in London. The performances will be recorded and sold in iTunes Stores all over the world once all is said and… sung.

This time around, however, Apple is playing coy with the artist lineup. For now, only the first three dates are announced: Scissor Sisters play July 1, Tony Bennett on July 2, and Ozzy Osbourne on July 3. The rest of the dates and artists will be announced over time via Apple’s iTunes Festival accounts on Facebook and Twitter.

The shows are free, but the only way to grab one of 25 tickets for each night is to win them. Contests will be launched from the iTunes Festival Tickets page, so you have to apply to participate in each one. Good luck, music lovers.

M.I.A. and Massive Attack will be headlining the UK Big Chill Festival, held at Eastnor Castle Deer Park, Herefordshire, Aug. 5-8.

Other acts confirmed to the play the Festival Republic-organized event, which celebrates its 16th year this summer, include Kelis, Roots Manuva, Kruder & Dorfmeister, Plan B, Mr Scruff and U.K. chart topper Tinie Tempah.

World-renowned artist Spencer Tunick will also be participating in the dance-themed event and will be calling on volunteers and festival-goers to disrobe for one of his infamous nude landscapes.

Weekend tickets cost £155 ($235) and are available to purchase from a range of ticket vendors, including www.ticketline.co.uk and www.ticketmaster.co.uk.

The arctic monkeys will play in london’s Brixton academy later this month on August 26th and tickets go on sale today (19th).

If your already on the bands mailing list you will have a ticket allocated to you an have 24 hours to register for your ticket. This needs to be done by mid-night tonight. Each successful applicant will be notified the following day (20th) and will be limited to two tickets each.

The one off show will be the first time that the Sheffield four-some will have played in the UK since December 2007. Roomers are circulating that the band will feature songs off their new album ‘Humbug’, which will be available to the general public two days prior to that, next week on August the 24th.

The gig will come just two days before the Arctic Monkeys headline this years Reading and Leeds festival.
