Spotify have debuted a new playlist that keeps you up to date with all the new music from the artists you love in one place.

Release Radar is the new weekly playlist from Spotify that presents a tailored mix of the newest music from artists that you like and listen to on Spotify. Never miss out on a new release from the artists that you love and discover recommended artists with fresh new music.

Release Radar seems to be the spiritual successor to Spotify’s incredibly popular Discover Weekly playlists, which presents users with a 30 track playlist of recommended music based on your listening every week. Release Radar works similarly in it’s use of your listening history to determine what it shows you. Whereas Discover Weekly is refreshed every Monday, Release Radar is updated every Friday on the new global release day, or New Music Fridays.

Senior product owner at Spotify, Matt Ogle says: “With the huge amount of new music released every week, it can be difficult to keep up with the latest tracks. With Release Radar, we wanted to create the simplest way for you to find all the newly released music that matters the most to you, in one playlist.”

As with Discover Weekly the more music you listen to, the better Release Radar’s selections get as it can refine and broaden your music tastes. As with all Spotify’s playlists you can share your selections with friends, save it to listen offline (Premium only), and easily gain access to it across all platforms.

You can find your Release Radar playlist under ‘New Releases For You’ in the Discover section on both the mobile and desktop Spotify apps. Your first Release Radar playlist is ready to listen to right now until this Friday when it’s replaced by a whole new selection of new music tailored to your tastes.
