All the top music on Spotify since 2015 has been revealed by Sizzle Analytics and yes, you already know that Drake is dominating the charts.

If you’ve looked at any charts in the past year you won’t be surprised to see Drake dominating the charts. Drake stands at number one for most streamed artist with an outrageous 2 billion streams, most streamed album for ‘Views, and has 3 songs in the top 10 most streamed that include both the first and second spots.

Beyond Drake Justin Bieber holds many of the high positions in the charts. Meanwhile R&B dominates the genres streamed with 10 billion streams, almost double Pop in second place with 6.4 billions streams. Following Pop is House with 2 billion streams before dropping down to Country and Alternative music below.

The analysis’ most unique findings are what the most popular tempos and keys are on Spotify. Interestingly the most popular key for tracks streamed on Spotify was C#, making it the only sharp key in the top 5. The top 4 tempo’s are interestingly similar with the 1st to 5th tempos being 100BPM, 110 BPM, 120 BPM, 130 BPM, then in 5th 90 BPM.

The developer has said that Sizzle’s analytics tool is only an experiment for know, saying: “This is a new tool and we are looking for feedback. Please let me know what features you’d like us to add! The tools used are: d3.js, crossfilter.js, dc.js, and the sizzleanalytics.com designer.”
