Spotify have launched their standalone kids app in 3 new countries just when parents will need it most.

Last November Spotify launched their new music streaming app aimed just at children in Ireland. After a test period to see how it was received by parents and kiddies alike, it moved on to the UK and now it’s launched in 3 more regions.

Spotify Premium Family subscribers can now all download the Spotify Kids standalone app. It features a tailored experience that is safe from any controversial or adult content. They offer a ‘Younger Kids’ and an ‘Older Kids’ platform that offers different kinds of content depending on the age and level of their child.

Kids can tap into a world of fun music and listen to stories all chosen by hand by Spotify’s editorial team. The app has been specially designed for navigation entirely different to Spotify’s base app and the content available will have custom artwork to be more visually engaging for youngsters.

It comes at a fantastic time for parents in the 3 territories as so many are home from school and work due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Keeping children entertained and educated, or even just sometimes doing their own thing for a while, is a newly daily challenge now for many parents.

For when it’s time to wind down Spotify have added more lullabies seeing how parents were using it so often at bedtime.

Spotify Kids promises an experience that parents are assured is full of only appropriate content to keep children happy and engaged. It offers over 125 playlists full of family-friendly content. They’ve added 30% more songs now since launch for a total of over 8,000 available.
