SoundCloud don’t want DJs to ever be at a loss with what to play, bringing their massive library to the 3rd program since December.
Last October news spread that saw DJs around the globe rejoice and throw their hands up in simultaneous celebration. No, sampling rights hadn’t been universally cleared. The news came from SoundCloud; the news that SoundCloud are integrating their 125+ million track library into 6 DJ programs over the next year.
Serato DJ came first in December, opening up a whole new world of possibility for DJs that was immediately accessible in their software. Then just last month Virtual DJ joined the roster. Now DEX 3 marks the half way point for SoundCloud’s venture into giving DJs endless options worldwide.
SoundCloud say that their mission is: “To empower creators at every stage with the best tools and resources to grow their careers.” All you need is a SoundCloud Go+ account and you can integrate the millions of original tracks on their platform directly into your software to mix at your heart’s content.
It’s as simple as downloading DEX 3 (some people need the obvious stating, ok?) and logging in. The enable SoundCloud in the app and sign in to your account. Restart the program and you’ll be able to grab tracks straight from your playlists and search, mix, and stream from SoundCloud’s official releases, emerging creator content, and everything in-between.
DJ’s and party lovers still have something to look forward to as SoundCloud are planning on adding their library to Native Instruments, Mixvibes, and DJuced/Hercules later this year.
