Rdio is thinking about incentivising artists to bring new users to their service. Rdio is competing head on with Spotify, so they need to stand out from the crowd. Rdio wants to allow artists to make money from bring their fans to Rdio.

There are a lot of figures currently flying around, but the $10 per new subscriber seems unbelievably high! It will be very interesting to see what they finally launch.
