Rdio Launches Record Label Curated Stations

Rdio has teamed up with “some of the worlds most iconic and prolific record labels and key local influencers” to handpick songs for Rdio’s new stations.

There are new label-curated stations from Blue Note, Glassnote Records and XL joining Def Jam, Astralwerks and Warner Music Nashville. Although they aren’t live stations Rdio agrees that human taste creates much better playlists than algorithm based ones.

Rdio already offered curated stations in the US, Canada and UK but with the addition of more stations they are now making them available to Australia, Brazil, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand.

The stations are available to all users – “free, select and unlimited.” If you aren’t already you can sign up to Rdio for free here.
