Deezer extending Orange partnership in France

Deezer have revealed that they will continue an extensive partnership with mobile phone service providers Orange.

Deezer have been in a longstanding distribution partnership with Orange mobile carrier in France over 5 years.  There were suggestions flying around that their relationship would soon come to an end but it has just been confirmed that their partnership has been extended.

The partnership will now continue for 2 more years at least. The boss at Deezer France, Alexis de Gemini said: “For two years now, we’ve worked hand in hand with Orange France to create a new distribution strategy for our paying offers.”

It’s not clear whether details of their partnership will change with the extension. It could lead a deeper bundling or promotion offer of Deezer on Orange phones or, less likely, a reduced integration. Orange said simply that they will continue to promote Deezer to their customers.
