40 years after their debut album Blondie are back with a new album featuring a host of popstars new and old.

Blondie have revealed their 11th album, Pollinator, with a lead single ‘Fun’ to get you excited for it’s release in May. The album features an eclectic selection of modern and classic artists for a collaborative effort of songwriting and performance.

Pollinator features songwriting from major artists including Sia, Charli XCX, Johnny Marr, Nick Valensi and Dave Sitek. There will also be performances from Laurie Anderson and Joan Jett on some of the tracks. The band describes their new album as “a modern take on the classic, vintage sound of one of the world’s most influential and legendary bands”.

The album follows their 2014 album ‘Ghosts of Download’ which also had a variety of features from varying artists including club and hip-hop influences. With the lead single ‘Fun’ you can hear Blondie’s classic pop sound blended with new electronic and pop influences for an interesting mixture of a dance track, old school disco and funk and modern pop music.

Blondie’s 11 album ‘Pollinator’ will be released on the 5th May.
